Technology

In Te Ngahere, the year 7 & 8’s went to Moerewa Primary School for technology. The year 7’s were in Mr. Edward’s workshop (class) and we made things out of wood with power tools as well as hand tools, while the year 8’s were making lasagne with Whaea Dot. What I enjoyed was making sculptures with the power tools. What I could do better is to get help from other people instead of the teacher because we all need help with our woodwork.

Waitangi Day

On Waitangi Day me and my family went to Waitangi, we had heaps of fun when we got there, like the bouncy castle, Go Go Carts Mario Style and FOOD! What I enjoyed at Waitangi was seeing my friends because most of my friends are at Kerikeri High School and some of my friends are at Paihia School.

Marshmallow Catapults

In Te Ngahere we were doing marshmallow catapults, we made it out of marshmallows, rubber bands, chopsticks and tape. We then we had to build it anyway we like. After we were finished building it we get to fire it on the field, after we shot it we would measure it and see who won. What I enjoyed was testing the catapult to see it will work because we shot it all over our class room.
