Writing goals blog post

In Te maunga we have been doing our writing goals, the writing goals are for what we need to learn for our writing. Here is my writing goals. If you want me to change any goals PLEASE comment me. Here is the writing goal.

	I spell most essential list words correctly and attempt some difficult words using spelling rules.	I use capital letters, and sentence endings correctly for most of my sentences and some other punctuation correctly.	I write simple sentences that have one idea or a  compound sentences using a joining word like: and, but, because	I can write a lot of simple everyday words that I already know.	I have a few simple ideas on the topic.	I have some structure and may use language features.	I put my ideas in order, group my ideas together and use simple words to link ideas (and, then, next).
How do I know? Give some examples from your writing of why you think you are in that box	I know i’m on r4 because I can write words like cousins, birthday, downstairs, because, excited, turned, forgot, instead and candles.	I put capital letters for names, places and at the beginning of a story, I put full stops by a end of a sentence.	I know I can use lots of words in my story, but not sometimes compound	I use lots of extra words for my story.	I know I have some ideas in my topic.	I know I can use structure and semple words in my story.	I know I can use words like and, then and next.
What next? What are your next learning steps?	Practice	Comers, question marks?, this! and talking marks”.	I need put longer sentence in my story.	I’ll use more extra words for the reader that reading it understand.	I need include more excited Ideas for my topic.	I need to put more sentences in my story.	I need to put more paragraphs in my story.

Beach Ed

A few weeks ago we did surf live saving, the lifeguards names were Liam, Toobs and Sam. We did games, water games and how to stay safe in the water games. First we had to go in the whare and talk about how to keep safe in the water. The second day we go to the beach and learn and have fun. recount

In Te Manuga we have been doing recounts, a recount is a writing of your story and what happed in the past. My story is when it was my cousins birthday, And the rest of the story is right down the bottom. If you need me to change any thing in the story please comment below and enjoy the recount.

On Sunday it was my cousin’s birthday and my other cousins came, and my aunt who I had never seen in 4 or 5 years, I was excited for my cousin’s birthday. My cousin turned two and my aunt forgot to get my cousin her presents.  

But instead we made lots of cake instead, so my mum made jelly and cake and she forgot to get the jelly so me and my brother ate the jelly. A few hours later both of my baby cousins fell asleep.

At 8 o'clock my cousin woke up and went downstairs, I was excited, when the happy birthday song was about to a finish my brother blew the candles out. But my cousin had to blow the candles because it was her birthday. And I had to much cake.

Unpacking our hoe

In te manuga we been learning about our school hoe, me and my buddy was doing the hoe of whanaugatanga, whanautangua is when you help someone out if they stuck on something hard and when someone has no one to play with you should play with them.
