A Period of Change

I think the peom is like sad because it re-symbols the world war. I like because it makes sense and sounds right. It makes feel like I am going to cry because a lot of people had died in the world war.

Good Oh Jolly
Glad I came pass Tasman To chirstchurch
Glad I land safely
As I go home peacefully.

I would bring some clothing for the people, games for the kids and healthy food.

My favorite dessert is a sundae because of the cream and the chocolaty bit.

Recipe: Sundae chocolate syrup.

  1. Hi Dayton,

My name's Ruby and I'm one of the people who will be blogging with you over the summer as part of the Summer Learning Journey team.

Activity 1: The poem is sad, I agree! There is a lot of emotion wound into those words. Remembering all the people who lost their lives in the war is very important. Why do you think it is so important?

Activity 2: Good work with this poem. Writing poems can be a very tricky job! I wonder how all of the people on the ground were feeling as they waited for the plane to land?

Activity 3: Those are some good ideas! Bringing games would be fun for everyone. What sorts of games would you bring? I would take some board games like Cluedo and Guess Who.

Activity 4: Sundae's are delicious! Good choice! I think that anything with chocolate is delicious. It looks as though you have tried to attach a recipe link to your blog, but it hasn't quite worked. It would be great if you could do that!

I look forward to reading more of your blog over the summer.
    Cheers,
    Ruby.
