Making Hummus

In Te Ngahere, we went to our school Whare Kai and made some hummus with Whaea Gina. This was our last session with Whaea Gina this term about healthy eating and drinking. We each had lots of ingredients to make the taste of the hummus better, like a lemon, chickpeas, salt, pepper and paprika. Some of us wanted the hummus to be spicy but we didn’t have that much spice but it was spicy. We all ate the hummus with some crackers and carrots, my opinion of the hummus was that the carrots made the hummus more tastier, which made it delicious. What I enjoyed was eating the hummus with the carrots because it was so good.
If you want to know how to make homemade hummus then here are the steps.
1. Open the chickpeas can and get some of the juice out.
2. Then pour the rest of the chickpeas in a blender.
3. Put in a tablespoon of Peanut Butter in the blender.
4. Put in some salt and pepper and a bit of paprika in the blender.
5. Squish a lemon for some flavor.
6. Blende the ingredients together.
Thanks for reading my blog post.
